Background & Experience
I was born and raised in Australia, where I grew up immersed in Jewish life through Bnei Akiva, the renowned Zionist youth movement. From a young age, I developed a strong connection to Jewish learning, particularly in the areas of Chabad Chassidus, Kabbalah, and Modern Orthodox thought. My interest in Jewish texts has been both broad and deep, covering foundational areas such as the Torah, Mishnah, Talmud, Halachah, Musar, and Chassidus.
After making Aliyah, I settled in Modiin, where I continue my personal learning journey. I regularly study Torah, with a focus on a wide range of topics from foundational Jewish texts to more esoteric teachings. In addition to my studies at Machon Meir, I have spent considerable time learning at the Rav Kook Yeshivah, further broadening my perspectives on Jewish philosophy and thought. Since making aliyah to Israel in 2016, Rabbi Liad has been teaching and running programs for various English speaking yeshivot and gap year programs in Israel.
While having a deep love for all facets of Torah study, Rabbi Liad is particularly passionate about learning and teaching the inner dimension of Torah; namely Chassidut and Kabbalah. He is well-versed in both Breslov and Chabad Chassidut.

Rabbi Binyomin J

I have spent more than a decade learning in some of the world’s most renowned Yeshivos, including the Mir in Yerushalayim and Birchas Mordechai in Beitar Illit. Before that, I attended Yeshiva University, where I pursued a degree in accounting while simultaneously learning in the YU Yeshiva program. Throughout my years in Yeshiva, my passion for Torah learning and teaching has only grown, and I have had the privilege of delivering chaburos and guiding talmidim in their learning.
My approach to learning is rooted in the depth and rigor of the traditional Yeshiva methodology. I focus on helping students not only understand the texts but also develop the analytical skills necessary to engage with them independently. Whether it’s breaking down a sugya in Gemara, developing a structured approach to learning Rishonim and Acharonim, or gaining a deeper appreciation of Chumash and Mishna, I tailor my teaching to each student’s needs and goals.
One of the greatest challenges in Torah learning is bridging the gap between reading the words and truly grasping their meaning. Many students struggle with fluency in Gemara, understanding the shakla v’tarya, or knowing how to approach a Tosafos or a Rashba. Others may find themselves learning but without the clarity or confidence to fully own their learning. My goal is to guide each student toward mastery—helping them gain clarity, think critically, and ultimately experience the geshmak of real, in-depth learning.
I work with talmidim of all levels, from beginners looking to build strong foundations to more advanced learners who want to sharpen their skills and deepen their understanding. My teaching style is interactive and tailored to each student’s needs, whether in-person or online.
If you’re looking for personalized guidance in your Torah learning—whether in Gemara, Mishna, or Chumash—I’d love to help. Reach out, and let’s work together to achieve your learning goals!

He enjoys learning and teaching Gemara, Navi, mussar and many other topics in the Torah world.
He is bilingual in Hebrew and English and is comfortable teaching in both languages.
His goal is to make learning engaging, meaningful, and personally fulfilling for each student.

Rabbi David Slotkin

RABBI DAVID SLOTKIN I have taught Chumash, Mishna, Talmud, Navi, and Halacha to Jewish students in New York for 30 years and loved every second of it! My teaching style has always text-based, and I have a tremendous passion for making the text interesting and fun for students. For example, I taught Sefer Shmuel for over 25 years, and I have collected the new insights of the students on the verses into a book which I have published on Amazon. Students always loved making a comment that is “worthy of the book”! I also use humor to keep my classes interesting. Some students even made a collection of “Rabbi Slotkin Jokes” (of which I have a copy)! Teaching and learning can and should be great fun, and it starts with the teacher! If not for the joy, nachas, and fun of teaching, I wouldn’t be doing it! I made Aliyah two and a half years ago, and I now live in Beit Shemesh. If you are interested in enjoying learning Torah, I can help!

Rabbi Zev Dov Klein

After completing high school, I moved to Israel to dedicate myself to full-time Torah learning. I became a student at Yeshivat Ohr Yaakov, located in the serene and historic town of Zichron Yaakov. My years there were formative, as I immersed myself deeply in Torah study and grew tremendously in both knowledge and character. After getting married, I continued my learning in the kollel at Ohr Yaakov, spending a total of approximately ten years in the yeshiva environment. During that time, in addition to my own learning, I had the privilege and responsibility of assisting others in theirs—tutoring students who needed extra support, both one-on-one and in small groups, as well as delivering shiurim (lectures) to the kollel. Following this period, I relocated to Maaleh Amos, a yishuv situated in the eastern bloc of Gush Etzion. There I continued my Torah learning in kollel while simultaneously joining a semichah (rabbinic ordination) program at Yeshivat Mir in Jerusalem. Through this program, I received semichah in the areas of Issur v’Heter, focusing on the halachos of kashrus and other core areas of practical halacha. I have a deep love and appreciation for all facets of Torah learning and teaching. Over the years, I have taught Gemara, Halacha, and Machshava in various formats, including both one-on-one and classroom settings. In the realm of Machshava (Jewish thought), I have studied the works of the great classical thinkers and mystics, including Saadya Gaon, Chovos HaLevavos, the Moreh Nevuchim of the Rambam, the teachings of Breslov, Tanya, the writings of the Ramchal, Maharal, and the Shelah HaKadosh. While I value and draw inspiration from all of these, I am especially passionate about the works of Saadya Gaon and the Chovos HaLevavos, which I fi nd to be both deeply intellectual and profoundly relevant. Teaching Machshava has been a central part of my life for over two decades, whether in structured classes or through personal chavrusa (study partnership) learning. Alongside this, I have continued to study and teach Gemara and Halacha, nurturing a lifelong commitment to both the depth and practical application of Torah. I strive to share Torah in a way that is clear, thoughtful, and engaging, always aiming to bring out its richness and relevance in our lives.
