Born and raised in Israel to American parents, Yochanan spent nine years immersed in yeshiva learning, developing expertise in Gemara, Chumash, and Mishna. Over the years, he has successfully tutored both children and adults, guiding them through foundational and advanced Jewish texts with clarity and depth. With a special focus on leining (Torah reading), Yochanan has helped numerous Bar Mitzvah boys master their Torah portions with precision and confidence. His experience includes serving as a professional leiner at The Great Synagogue in Jerusalem, where he refined his skills in both traditional and cantorial Torah reading. Passionate about teaching and mentorship, Yochanan tailors his approach to meet each student’s unique learning style, ensuring they build both skills and confidence. He is also exploring innovative ways to integrate technology into private tutoring, enhancing engagement and accessibility for students worldwide. Beyond teaching, Yochanan enjoys singing and voice training, participating in a choir, and continuously honing his vocal technique.
